Keeping in mind the importance of aggression in everyday life, the author hereby set out to explore various theories on aggression including the definition of aggression, various theories on aggression, vicissitudes of the Freud’s theories on aggression, origin of aggessive instinct, aim of aggression, aggression and secondary aggression. Understanding these concepts of aggression and applying them to clinical practices, in my view, would be very helpful in examining and treating basic conflicts of patients.
